Diego has a lively style of AlfaSphere playing for music & visuals. With a background in VJing, one of the earliest AlfaSphere adopters has embraced this new instrument as a conduit to explore the intersection between music and visuals.
Diego started his musical career as a VJ. Cutting his teeth performing alongside names such as Chase & Status, Grooverider, Mampi Swift & Ed Solo, in the exploding UK DnB scene of the early noughties, CLM rapidly became established as a regular in nightclubs such as O2 Academy, Lakota & Trinity, Bristol – and has also played in Borderline, London & Tantra Bar, Ibiza, as well as UK festivals such as Boom Town, NASS & Sunrise. With his mastery of VJ tools such as Arkaos & Resolume – Diego became hungry for a fresh challenge.
Music was a natural outlet for an artist who for so long had provided the synesthetic counterpoint for some of the top producers in the world, however he was not satisfied with he production tools available to him on the market at the time. It was upon learning that his old friend, Adam Place had created the AlphaSphere that he felt his musical synapses ignite and it was not long before he had teamed up with Adamin the process of comercialising the AlfaSphere.
Though not being from a traditional musical background, Diego safinity with the electronic sounds he had spent so much time immersed in found him quickly creating epic new music using the tactile, playable form of the AlphaSphere instrument. He was quickly thrown into the limelight when asked to perform the National Anthem for the Duke of York at St. James Palace, and followed this with a DnB DJ set – showcasing the full power of Alfa…
Now he uses the AlfaSphere in combination with music & or visual software, and on his recent arrival in HK has already performed in Rula Bula, Ovolo Southside and at various VIP events. He is available as a standalone DJ, VJ or can play an integrated music/visual set, solo or alongside any other artist.
